"East Photography Rocks the Fair

September 9, 2016

East’s photography students fared spectacularly well at the Utah State Fair this year, winning 27 awards of 66 entries. The results are as follows:

Jordynn Aoyagi, fourth in architecture; Noah Bodnar, honorable mention in landscape; Isabel Cowley, second in pets; Guadalupe Estrada, third in panorama; Sophia Harrison, first in abstract; Adrian Holick, first in architecture with special judges’ recognition and second in human interest; Frank Langheinrich, third in professional architecture; Annika Lindsay, honorable mention in architecture; Abbie Lyman, second in portraits; Michelle Martinez, fourth in botanical; Lucy McDonough, honorable mention in portraits; Kathryn Mayer, third in botanical; Elizabeth Miller, honorable mention in unclassified prints; Fatima Perez, fourth in artistic image manipulation; Nikolay Punchev, second in cell phone photography; Holden Regnier, fourth in landscape; Jasmine Rich, first in still life; Meggie Sorensen, first in child portraits and first in social event; Zoe Stone, first in artistic image manipulation; Olivia Walker, first in cell phone photography; Lacy Washington, second in child portraits; Auden Winchester, second in botanical;Quinci Wyatt, first in wildlife and third in portraits.

As a group, East’s students represent the largest set of entrants in any event at the fair."
